Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOE HAWKINS A celebration to honour the life of Joe Hawkins will be held at St. Marks Anglican Church at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Joe passed away November 26, 2007 in Kelowna after a short illness at the age of 93. He was born February 16, 1914 in Parry Sound, ON and was a resident of Winnipeg for 64 years before moving to Kelowna in 2005. Joe was involved for many years with St. Marks Anglican Church, the ALS Society and Meals on Wheels. He was an avid walker at the St. Vital Mall in the winter and St. Vital Park in summer. He was predeceased by his wife Helen Vivian and his son Murray. He is survived by his sons, Russell of Chapel Hill, NC, Ken of Kelowna, BC; his daughters, Dorothy Lewis of Masset, BC, Susan Hawkins of Seattle, WA and Nancy Hawkins of Toronto, ON; his grandchildren, Murray and Jamie Hawkins and Kimberley Baker of Winnipeg, MB, Joey and Rusty Hawkins of Chapel Hill, NC, Karen Lobley and Dana Lewis of Prince George, BC and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Nelson of New Westminster, BC, Roy of Kelowna, BC, George of Calgary, AB and Larry of Perth, Australia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
