Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN SOLUK The family wishes to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jean Soluk, on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. Mom was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1987, grandchild Timothy, brothers Peter and Frank, sister-in-law Gertrude and parents Michael and Anna Kozera. Mom was born October 25, 1913 in Stead, MB and grew up in Greenwald. She married Dad in 1933 and homesteaded in Thalberg until 1951 and then moved to Beausejour, MB. Mom will be sadly missed by daughter Helen (Alvin) Sjolie, son Clifford (Donna) Soluk, daughter Joan Soluk, daughter Marilyn (Tom) Mantel, grandchildren Bob Sjolie, Kim (Paul) Adriaansen, David (Brenda) Soluk, Raymond (Marie) Soluk, Richard (Cheri) Mantel, Patty-Jo Mantel, David (Heather) Mantel, 13 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Emily Kozera and numerous nieces and nephews. In younger years, Mom's special interests evolved around her faith and Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church. She loved to be at home with family, gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading. The family would like to thank the special angels of East Gate Lodge for the care and compassion shown to our mother. Prayers will be said on Sunday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, 823 Park Avenue, Beausejour. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Al Sjolie, Tom Mantel, Don Soluk, Don Kubish, Gerry Antymis and Paul Adriaansen. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Resident Council of East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 or to Holy Ghost Church, Box 114, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0. The final chapter for you has come, We will miss you so much, our dear Mom. You are now in Jesus' care, One day we all will see you there.
