OLGA ROGALSKY (nee ZALKOWSKI) Olga Rogalsky (nee Zalkowski) passed away peacefully on May 21, 2008 after a short stay in the hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Olga was born October 31, 1924 in Winnipeg. In high school Olga was an avid athlete. After graduating from St. John's High School she worked at a real estate office which she enjoyed. Olga met and married Adam Rogalsky on July 6, 1946. Olga and Adam spent their lifetime together in Saskatchewan where they operated a grain farm. In the winters they resided in Winnipeg. Olga loved to knit, was an avid family historian and was an active member of the Saskatchewan flying farmers for over 30 years. Olga was predeceased by her husband Adam, her parents, brother George and sister Mary Dowhaniuk. She is survived by her son Ronald; daughters Linda (Phil) Tapp; Dale (James) Hogan. Her grandchildren, Allison; Angela (Mark Pawluk); Michael; Matthew; Sarah; and Hannah. As well as her sisters-in-law Kathleen Eros (Sam); Pat Zalkowski; nephews Paul Zalkowski; Robert Dowhaniuk (Tina), children Tania, Andrew, and Melanie. Grandnieces Nicole; Melanie (Gareth) children Eban, Luka, and Cale; Delaine (Steve), and children Violet and Kaius, and grand-nephew James. She was an avid reader; wonderful mother and grandmother dedicated to the family and was always there for us. Olga loved life and laughter. Prayers will be said on Monday, May 26, 2008 between 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary The Protectress, 820 Burrows Ave. at Sinclair.
