GARY KAZUK In the early hours on May 23, 2008, peacefully at home with his wife Gail, of 46 years by his side, Gary passed away. Born in Sperling, MB on July 23, 1941. Gary had six brothers and three sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Gary married Gail Smith on October 13, 1962 and moved to their farmstead in Balmoral. Gary and Gail had four children Terry (Rick), Lisa (Patrick), Kristy (Rick), Kevin (Angela); six grandchildren Stacie, Kelsey, Meghan, Michael, Grant and Hailey. Gary loved life and this was felt by all the many friends and family that filled his life. He loved traveling to Mexico with his wife Gail and his closest friends. May 2006 he began his courageous battle with cancer. Right until the end Gary had hope and never gave up. His family was the most important thing in his life and he loved all of them dearly. He will be sadly and deeply missed by all of them. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall to celebrate Gary's life. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to the Manitoba Breast Cancer Association (which was near and dear to Gary's heart) or the Lung Cancer Association.
