DORA KLYM June 3, 1940 - May 23, 2008 Peacefully on May 23, 2008 with family by her side Dora Klym age 67 passed away. For three years mom was under the excellent care of the Arborg Personal Care Home, and Hospital. During her stay there, her cheerful smile won over the hearts of many. Dora leaves to mourn her mother Gudrun Vigfusson; children, Warren (Shelley), Mark (Natalie), Kevin (Lisa); grandchildren, Jillian, Timothy, Shae Lynne, Brenna, and Meagan. Also Left to cherish her memory is her sister Ethel (Barney) Sigvaldason. Brothers-in-law, Mike (Marie), Joe (Olga), David (Elaine) Klym, aunties and uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Victor Klym; father Einar Vigfusson, and in-laws, John and Mary Klym. As a child Dora was exuberant and outgoing. Growing up she made friends easily and retained those friendships throughout her life. She had a keen sense of humour and a positive attitude toward life. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, especially over a good cup of coffee and some sweets. Dora loved card games, board games, and watching baseball, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Mom had a real love of life and all the joys it brought. She was known for her unusual sense of humour and quick wit. She learned the joys of music as her mother and aunties were a great inspiration. As a young woman she worked at a bank and credit union. Later on she was a farm wife and took on the chores that came with it. As a dedicated mother, Dora always took time for her children, and involved herself in their interests. Although mom struggled with health issues for the last thirty years she was able to maintain a positive and feisty spirit. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, health care aids and the support staff of the Arborg Personal Care Home. You really are an extraordinary bunch! A memorial service will be held at the Ardal Geysir Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Arborg and District Personal Care Home or the Ardal Geysir Lutheran Church. Arborg Mackenzie Funeral in care of arrangements.
