JAMES MALCOLM SHEPHERD February 20, 1945 - May 23, 2008 *****CHANGE IN SERVICE DATE***** Peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2008 Jim (Shep) passed away at his beloved Victoria Beach cottage. Jim was predeceased by his parents Frank and Enid Shepherd, and his two brothers Cam and Don. He will be greatly missed by his wife Glenda, son Scott (Shelley and granddaughter Kinsey), daughter Tara (Tyler), cousin Diane and family, Doug (Adele) and Bryan, as well as his new pup, Brewster and many friends. Jim was a journeyman electrician whose career took him from Manitoba Hydro, to Keewatin Electric, to the Provincial Government and finally, for almost 30 years to the St. James Assiniboia School Division. Shep loved sports: curling, fastball - but mostly NFL football (The Vikings) and golf. However, his family and friends were his greatest love and joy. Shep also loved his cottage at Victoria Beach and all that came with it - his wonderful Victoria Beach friends, golf and his hot tub! Anyone who ever met Shep remembered him. He had a great sense of humour and could tell stories forever! He was a kind, generous man who was a wonderful father, husband and friend and will be missed by all who really knew him; especially his family. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. Chapel Lawn 885 - 9715
