Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) BOWEN November 19, 1933 - May 23, 2008 Quietly after a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Bowen on Friday, May 23 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 74 years. Remaining to forever cherish Bill's memory are his beloved wife Esther (Molnar); three daughters, Charlene Dudeck, Wendy (Bruce) Del Bigio and Tracy (Larry) Bowen-Lee and five Grandchildren, Dustyn, Evan, Alec, Walker and Aurora. Bill also shared a special relationship with his nephew's Richard, Ryan and niece, Tanya (Ingimundson). He is survived by his brother Carl (Linda) Madder of Winnipeg and cousin Herb Briem of Alberta. Bill was born in Brandon Manitoba. After the death of his mother and at the age of 3 years he was fostered and raised by his Uncle Trigvi and Aunt Emma Briem in Riverton Manitoba. He was the seventh of ten children born to John and Jonina Bowen (Ingimundson). Bill was always the life of any party, and on his journey collected a colorful array of friends. He was a hard worker and an independent thinker. He loved music, hockey, the outdoors and old movies. On Thursday, May 29 Bill's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Boulevard with Rev. Dr. Michael Wilson presider. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. Honorary pall bearers will be, Bruce Del Bigio, Larry Lee, Dustyn and Walker Dudeck and Evan and Alec Del Bigio. A grateful Thank-you to all of our friends and family for their continuing love and support. Special Thanks to Dr. Borrat and the Staff of 5 North, at the Grace Hospital.
