STELLA STEEVES (nee GINGRICH) On May 25, 2008 at West Park Manor, Stella passed away peacefully, at the age of 94, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children: Ernie (Crystelle), Hazen (Val), Fran Steeves-Cook (Ken) and George, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Cam Gingrich, and her sister Norma Henderson. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 1971. Stella was born and raised in Guernsey, Saskatchewan. She taught school for a number of years before becoming a nurse. Stella and Henry were married in 1948 and farmed in Rosser, Manitoba, where they raised their family. Throughout her life, Stella's very caring and generous ways touched many lives. The family warmly thanks the staff at West Park Manor for their care and compassion over the many years of her stay. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, with Pastor Bruce Logan officiating. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Stella's generous heart, any donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
