SHIRLEY WADDINGTON (nee MUNN) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley Waddington on Sunday, May 25, 2008. Shirley was born in Winnipeg, November 29, 1918 and grew up in St. Vital. Shirley met Bob Waddington in 1939 and they were married on May 15, 1941 and were happily married for 57 years. They moved to Lethbridge, Alberta until 1951 when they returned to Winnipeg. Shirley worked at Eaton's until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of the Jubilee Chapter No. 27, Order of the Eastern Star and in 1951 was Worthy Matron and her father, Fitz Munn, was her Worthy Patron. She enjoyed many years in retirement travelling and visiting many interesting holiday spots. She is survived by her two nephews, Darryl Munn and Barton (Anita) Munn and family of Winnipeg, and niece Carolyn (Ron) Moore of British Columbia. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 3 St. Vital Road at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.
