JUDITH (JUDY) AGNES NELSON (nee GRAY) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, granny, aunt and friend - Judith Agnes Nelson (nee Gray) - on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the age of 68 years. She will be so dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving husband Charles; sons, Brian (Paula) and David (Tracey); daughters, Laura (Gary) and Tish (Brent); brothers, Tommy (Therese) and Edwin (Mabel); sisters Rene (Tom), Ann (Chuck), Dawn (Kenny) and Pam (Bryan); her sister-in-law, Rochelle (Richard); grandchildren, Sara, Alyssa, Brittany, Brett, Julia, Kade and RaeAnn; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Bobby, and her sisters Margaret and Elizabeth. Mom was born on March 31, 1940 into a loving family that continues to share special bonds despite the distances that separate them today. Dad's career with the RCAF allowed our family the opportunity to live in many parts of Canada and Europe, and during that time mom enjoyed many pastimes including golf, curling, darts and a very active life in the church and the CWL. Mom, you were loved and you will always be missed. As you would have wanted, we will stay strong with the thought that your spirit is watching over us from above. You lived your life with grace, and you will live on in our hearts and through our memories. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant, presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. Our family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Grace Hospital, CancerCare and Riverview Palliative Care and Home Care for all of their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9 or Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 2P4.
