Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR PATENAUDE (PATNOUDE) April 12, 1917 - May 27, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces Arthur Patenaude passed away peacefully in the arms of God on May 27, 2008 at the age of 91. Arthur will lovingly be remembered by his wife Madeleine (née Barnabé). He leaves to mourn three children; their spouses and six grandchildren: Louise (Devon), Gilbert and Paulette (Justin, Danielle, and Vincent), Raymond and Denise (Joel and Robert). He is also survived by his sisters Rita Lessard and Vivian Fields, brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Amedie Patnoude and Orpha Bellemar, by his first wife Yolande Barten and his son Denis; his sisters Olive Edwards and Clarabelle Yule. Dad was born in Kenaston, SK and moved many times in his young life to Oakwood, ND, Willow Bunch and Léoville, SK before settling down in Winnipeg. Dad was a veteran of the Second World War. He was employed at CN for 33 years. He retired in 1982 and he finally had the time to work in his wood shop. He liked working with wood. He was a devoted Roman Catholic and also an honourary member of the Knights of Columbus. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St. Eugene Parish, 1007 St. Mary's Road. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their kindness towards dad. We would also like to thank the staff at St. Adolphe Personal Care Home for welcoming him in his new home, though his stay was very short. He really liked it there.
