ANNELIESE ACKERSCHOTT 1910 - 2008 Our Mom passed peacefully on May 26, 2008 at the age of 98 at the Bethania Personal Care Home. She was born on April 2, 1910 in Gütersloh, Germany. She was married in 1942 to Karl Ackerschott until he passed in 1998. They immigrated to Canada with their two children in 1953 and had lived in Winnipeg since then. During her life her passion was her family and travel, visiting many countries throughout the world. She is predeceased by her husband Karl of 56 years in 1998, her granddaughter Heidi Kapitoler in 1990, and her brother Rudolf Güth in 2006. Left to mourn her are her children Ingrid Kapitoler (Manfred) and Ingo Ackerschott (Joyce); grandson Robin Kapitoler (Naomi), and great-granddaughter Ariana and her remaining brother Klaus Güth in Germany. A private interment of her ashes will occur at a later date at St. Vital Cemetery. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home for their compassionate care in looking after our Mom.
