ELAINE (LAINEY) ELIZABETH MCMILLAN Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on May 25, 2008 surrounded by family Lainey died. Lainey was the third youngest of nine children and remains in the hearts of her daughter Diane, (Robert), her favourite grandson, Lee and her loving brother and best friend Paul. Lainey will always be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son Archie (1987). Lainey was a creative, intelligent free spirit, a talented dancer, singer and story teller. It was an honour and a joy to have grown up with and shared a life and friendship imbued with Lainey's playfulness, spontaneity, and wit, and a blessing to have had her as a mother. Lainey had a profound empathy for those in need and always opened her heart and home, sharing whatever she had. Lainey's life was, indeed, filled with acts of kindness towards those she knew and strangers alike. The family would like to thank all the staff and friends at Riverview C-D-3 whose kindness and humanity allowed Lainey to Blossom once again. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Lainey's life will be held at a later date. Those who care to can make a donation in Lainey's memory to C-D-3 Riverview Health Centre.
