PHILIPPE JEANSON March 15, 1934 May 29, 2008 Passed away at St. Boniface General Hospital following his battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Rita (Proulx); four children, Hélène (Mike) Gagné, Gilbert (Sylvia), Paulette and Norbert; four grandchildren (who brought him tremendous joy and continual laughter), Mathew, Renée, Patrick and Michael; brothers and sisters, Hortense (Julien late) Wilcott, Rita (Ray) Johnson, Marcelle (Cyril late) Dupont, Germain (Rose), Arthur (Betty late) and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Antonin and Anastasie (Savoie), brothers Clovis (Louise), Roland (Anna), Gerald (Marie) and sister Alice (Ken ) Olson. Dad was very proud of his 35 years at Canada Packers. He gave many productive hours to his community and parish. He served a term as President at Champlain C.C.; he served as President of Précieux-Sang bingo for many years and side by side with mom ran the Club Traverse hall rental for 10 years. He was a Grand Knight of Columbus (Goulet Council). Dad was especially proud of his 40 years given to the Foyer Vincent seniors' block on Horace. A heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and staff from Palliative Care at the St. Boniface General Hospital, and a special thank you to nurse Claire. At dad's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
