JOYCE RAE KURCEBA (nee MCCREEDY) A celebration to honour the life of Joyce Kurceba will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave. at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008. Joyce passed away April 25, 2008 at Riverview Health Centre, after a lengthy illness at the age of 79. Unfortunately, just shortly after Joyce's passing, her daughter, Marilyn Ann Manuel succumbed to cancer (May 23, 2008). Joyce was predeceased by her father William; mother Mary; brothers, Johnny, Bobby and sister Jean (Hanson); daughter-in-law Margaret Kurceba and brother-in-law Bill Kurceba. Remaining to cherish her memory are husband Alex; son Sandy (Maura); son-in-law Graham Manuel and daughter Michele (Kerry) Darragh. Grandchildren, Jacyln, Amelia, Shannon, Kelsey, Brad and Debbie Darragh. Sister Marilyn Gayle (Richard) LaPage; brothers, Russell (Shirley), Allan (Mary) McCreedy and sister-in-law Janet Kurceba. Joyce was a good friend and mother who was full of life, wit and humour. Her creative talents produced many special pieces that will be forever treasured. The family wishes to thank the staff of AB1 and CD1 of Riverview Health Centre for the care they provided over the last several years.
