ANTOINETTE LAURIN (nee PINEAU) Antoinette died peacefully at Taché Centre on June 01, 2008 at the age of 99 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Léopold (November 07, 2007), her parents Augustin and Marie as well as many brothers and sisters and in-laws. Antoinette is survived by her children Gilbert (Maureen), Lucille, Annette (Bas Smith), Nicole (Fred Rakowski) as well as her grandchildren Simon (Tina) Smith, Louise (Dason) Wells, Christopher (Heather) Rakowski, Emmanuelle (Russell) Andrews, Janek (Lindsay) Rakowski, Tristan Rakowski, Dominique and Gabriel Laurin, Michel Smith and her eight great-grandchildren. At Taché Centre she left behind three loving sisters-in-law Bernadette Laurin, Bernadette Laurin (Edward) and Louise Pineau (Pierre). Mom was a loving, caring and compassionate wife and mother. Until her 90's she was everyone's confidante, always ready to listen and dispense wise advice. We would like to thank Taché Centre especially 2 ABC for their wonderful care and support over the many years. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 04, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taché Centre, 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2B3.
