Betty was predeceased by her husband George and daughter Christina. She will be sadly missed by her sister Joyce Furness, sons Bill (Krys), George (Carolyn), son-in-law Bill, grandchildren Jaimee, Nicole, Diana and Sylvia, as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Betty loved the outdoors and natural wildlife, and in keeping with her wishes flowers are gratefully declined and donations can be made in her honor to Fort Whyte Centre, 1961 McCreary Road, Winnipeg, MB, R3P 2K9.
