MARIE ELSIE BURNHAM Peacefully, on May 30, 2008, Marie passed away at Nova Vista Lodge at the age of 88 years. She was born in Manitou, Manitoba on April 2, 1920. She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Vimy (Fred) Radford of Sioux Lookout and Edith (Russ) Amy of Darlingford, also her sister-in-law Helen Anning and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Eva Anning, her first husband Earl Lewis; her second husband Cecil Burnham; Sister Evelyn and her husband Donald McKinnon, and her brother Bob Anning. Marie was a dedicated volunteer at the Victoria General Hospital, a position she valued and enjoyed. She was also a member of St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, on Friday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Deacon Helen Hunter officiating. A family ash interment will be held at the Manitou Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Hospital Building Fund or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
