PETER CHYZZY On Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Arborg Hospital, Peter Chyzzy passed away peacefully surrounded by family members at the age of 82 years. He was born in Rembrandt, MB and moved to Sylvan where he farmed. For a short time he also worked in Prince George and then returned again to the farm. He later managed the Eriksdale, Stonewall and Stony Mountain Hotel from 1951 to late 60s. Peter is survived by his brother and sisters Kay Zayik, Arborg, Rosie Lubinski, Sylvan, Joe (Minnie), Morweena, Jean (Jim) Lapka, Brandon, Paul, Victoria, BC, Eddie (Cecilia), Surrey, BC, Valerie (Robert Rutherford) Howden, Vicky Dubowski, Winnipeg, Lillian (Edwin Kowalsky), Morweena; three sisters-in-law Olga, Kay and Rose; numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his parents Fred (1969), Marlo (1984), brothers Bill (1984), Sam (1993), Tommy (1994), Mike (1994), sisters Ann Leichert (2001), Sophie Haack (2007), Nellie Hawkins (2005) and two sisters in infancy Victoria and Mary. Pallbearers will be Richard Dubowski, Fred Zayik, Kenny Lubinski, David Kowalsky, Ross Rutherford, Marlene Chyzzy. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff of the Arborg Hospital and to Dr. Beukes and Nellie Burak. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Arborg. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
