Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGUDNY CRONSHAW Gudny Thorunn Cronshaw (née Johnson) of Gimli passed away suddenly on June 2, 2008, one day after a family birthday celebration. Gudny (or Gwen) was born in Selkirk on September 21, 1925 to Kristjan Johnson and Ingibjorg Stefania (Loa) Johnson (née Thorkelson) of Arnes, Manitoba. She attended high school at Gimli Public School and somewhat later took courses in arts and sciences from the University of Manitoba. She was a business owner until her retirement and owned Cronshaw Jewellers with her husband Frank Cronshaw. In the community she was a leader in the Gimli Women's Institute and was a proud and committed lifelong member of the Icelandic National League. She will be sorely missed by her loving husband Frank, her four children Francine, Steven, Thor, and Nina, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her friends are invited to remember and celebrate her life and many contributions to the Gimli community, at a service to be held at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Winnipeg Beach on Friday, June 6, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Icelandic National League or the Evergreen Public Library.
