EMILY ANN STARSIAK It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Emily (Dolly) Starsiak on June 2, 2008 at the age of 69 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband Edward of 49 years, her children Steven (Wanda), David (Theresa), Teri, her granddaughter Courtney, sisters Virginia, Lillian (Ron), aunts Emily, Sophie and uncle Emil. She was predeceased by her mother Patricia in 1945, dad Henry (Mary) Valenta, grandmother Anna Hajny, in-laws Andrew and Emily Starsiak and brother and sister-in-law Emil and Phyllis Starsiak. Mom will be remembered for being a loving mother who was willing to help others before helping herself. Her love of birds and countless summer hours attending her flowers and garden at home and at the cottage gave her much joy, but nothing gave her as much joy as watching her granddaughter perform in many dance recitals. Her many years working in the canteen at the St. Andrews Community Club gave her the opportunity to make friends with hundreds of people. Emily's wishes were to have a private family service, which was held at the Cropo Funeral Home. Interment took place at the Garden of Everlasting Life at Glen Eden. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Rm. ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of your choice.
