DONALD JOHN SWEETLAND On Thursday, June 5, 2008 Don passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 61 years. Don is survived by his wife Lynda; daughters Tannis Marsh and Andrea (Barry Black) and his grandchildren, Kristin, Brendan and Emma, who meant the world to him. Predeceased by father Leslie (2005), and mother Evelyn (1958). He is also survived by sisters Marilyn Cherpako, Arlene McMurray; brothers, Robert, Ken, Ron, Ray and Larry. Also many nieces and nephews. Don worked as a bus operator with Winnipeg Transit since 1992 until the time of his passing. Don loved camping and vacations in Hawaii. Hockey was a passion and Don was a lifetime season ticket holder for the Winnipeg Jets. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Seven Oaks, 5 Unit 3 for their care and compassion. Funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 10 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Don may be made to CancerCare, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
