Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN ONESCHUK Passed away peacefully at the River East Personal Care Home on Tuesday, June 3, 2008. John was born October 21, 1914 in Allegra, Manitoba. He married Sophie (Josie) Melnyk in 1936. They farmed in the Allegra area until 1951 when the family moved to Winnipeg. John leaves to mourn his sons, Donald (Olga) and Leonard (Penny); grandchildren Tanya, Natashia and Jarrett (Tammy) Oneschuk; great-grandchildren, Andrew McCartney, Jackson, Grayson and Jamason Oneschuk; sisters-in-law, Helen Oneschuk and Mary Oneschuk, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Josie in 1996; his parents, brothers and sisters. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 9 at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Sts. Vladimir and Olga, 115 McGregor St.. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Podolak, Joe Tymko, Ray Mazur, Jarrett Oneschuk, Alvin Tymko and Ed Przednowek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. John's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the River East Personal Care Home for their care and kindness. VICHNAYA PAMYAT Love you Dad, you will be missed.
