Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Today is your 14th anniversary of your passing. Never forgotten about you and the times we worked together. Hope you still bending conduit up there. RIP - Posted by: Joseph Halyckyj (Friend ) on: Jun 01, 2022

  • The first time I met Richard, was in the year 1999, I was applying for a position at AAA Electric as a Construction Electrician. Richard was applying as a second year Electrician, we both got the position and I started at women's Pavilion at HSC. Richard was working there with me. We got on very well and when we was laid off from this job I didn't see Richard till 2003. He just became a Electrician at Exco Electrical. We both worked at the St Vital extension Wal Mart he was a member of IBEW 2085. I always remember him for being so quick doing his work. I remember him doing some 2 inch conduit at Wal Mart in the ceiling and I told not to forget to tight the screws on the couplings. (He always forgot to do this when he was with me working at the HSC) Anyway we was pulling the wires into the 2 inch conduit with a tugger and lo and behold the conduit was coming apart!!! I was laughing so hard and my foreman ask me who installed the conduit. I replied ask Richard. He was not in a laughing mood! Richard was called TURBO. Why you may ask? Because he was so fast at doing his work but always forget to tight the screws !!! I enjoyed working with Richard, we had some great drinking days when we was working on jobs together. He was too young to pass away at a young age. RIP Richard to we meet again. My condolences go out to his mother and his siblings. - Posted by: Joseph Halyckyj (Co-worker/friend) on: Sep 13, 2013
