Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH ELLEN MUNDAY (REID) 1948 - 2008 After a short, courageous battle with cancer, Liz passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Thursday, June 5 at the age of 60 years. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she will be missed greatly. She was predeceased by her husband Ken and her mother Muriel. Liz is survived by her three sons, Jeff (Rachel), Gerry (Darcie), Mike (Penny), her father Cliff, her sister Barb (Al), sisters-in-law Eleanor (Don), Pat (Rudy) including many nieces and nephews. She was the best grandmother in the world and will be remembered by her grandchildren, Emily, Eric, Avery, Joshua, Brett and Mason. Mom was born on March 20, 1948 in Winnipeg, MB. She grew up on Valour Road and graduated from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. After high school she became a teacher which she found very rewarding. Mom loved to spend time at Grand Beach with family and friends. It is here that she met the love of her life Ken, to whom she was married for 37 years. Together they raised three boys who were the center of her life. She was a very loving and active mother. Mom loved to cheer the loudest at the sporting events, travel with her family to Palm Springs, play board games, and spend time at the cabin. She will be remembered as a cheerleader, bowler, party planner, Scrabble champion and shopper extraordinaire. In recent years her life was devoted to her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them playing and singing for hours. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the palliative care staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their support and kindness. In addition, we are very grateful to the overwhelming support from family and friends. A celebration of Mom's life will be held in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, on Tuesday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
