VIRGINIA ARMILENE THOMPSON (nee WELLS) AKA TWEEDY AND FOO-FOO October 31, 1960 - June 5, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and niece Virginia on June 5, 2008. Lovingly surrounded by her family, Virginia went home to be with the Lord and be reunited with her parents, brothers and grandparents. Her memory will be entrusted to her loving husband Bill and her son Craig, step children Robert and Francis. Virginia will be missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters Marilyn (Eddy), Kathy (Vernon), Margaret (Andrew), Sheryl (Garry), her brothers Lloyd (Georgia), Nick (Mary), Richard (Eveline), Lawrence and Keith (Carla). Virginia also leaves to mourn uncle Lawrence (Mina) Smith of Scanterbury, MB, Aunties Lillian (Lawrence) Morrisseau, of Sagkeeng, MB, Melanie Lamour of Thunderbay, ON, Ramona McIvoy and Sharon Marsh of Selkirk, MB. She also leaves to mourn special friends Noelin and Gerry Traa, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Virginia will be lovingly reunited with her parents Verna and George Wells, grandparents Henry and Armilene (Guimond) Smith, Andrew and Rachel Wells, her brothers Vernon and Eugene, her maternal Uncles Gus, John, Jimmy, paternal uncles Gordon and Willie and maternal aunties Mabel, Agnes, paternal aunties Gertie, Elsie, Evelyn, Ruby, Ida, and Millie. In accordance with her wishes wake service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 and Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Bread of Life Church at 1338 Main Street, Winnipeg and wake services will also be on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Sergeant Tommy Prince School in Scanterbury, MB. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., also at Sergeant Tommy Prince School, with internment to follow at the Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Health Sciences Centre Dialysis Staff, Red River College staff members who worked with the Aboriginal Students and of the Access Program, Peguis First Nation and Brokenhead Ojibway Nation.
