Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT WALLACE GIBSON Robert Wallace Gibson passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Riverview Health Centre. He was born in Winnipeg, on January 5, 1927. Bob's loving wife Dorena passed away in 2002. Bob is survived by his children Doug (Donna), Laurel (Ken), Nancy, Pat, Brenda (Paula) and Brian (Veronique); grandchildren Kris (Tracey), Heather, Angie, Loralee (Ward), Russell (Sheri) Vincent, Kevin (Rebecca), Elizabeth (Trevor), Patrick, Dominique and Nicolas; 17 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Richard as well as great friends Jack and Wilma, Muriel, Willard and Laureen, and many friends from Duffield Street. Bob was predeceased by four siblings. Bob proudly served in the Navy for two years during the Second World War. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years and a Rotarian for some time. Until a few years ago Bob volunteered as a bartender at Deer Lodge Centre. We extend very special thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre who were so very compassionate with our dad. There are so many people to thank at Riverview that we are just saying a collective you are wonderful people . A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Street (Aubrey Street entrance) at 11:00 a.m. We knew you for so many years And we just loved you so Throughout our lives, you walked with us But you just had to go. We know you wait there for us To walk with you again Remember Dad, remember Mom, That this is not the end. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Deer Lodge Foundation, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3, or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, would be greatly appreciated.
