Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY GERTRUDE TODD December 11, 1929 to June 5, 2008 After a long painful illness Mary passed away the night of June 5, 2008. She was eldest girl of seven children and survived by sisters, Hazel (John), Hilda (Mike), Elsie (Don), and Rita (Boyd). She was predeceased by her parents, Roy and Elsie Haycock and older brothers, Roy (Eileen) and Clifford (Evelyn) Haycock. Mary leaves behind Edward, her husband of 60 years, and their children, Roger (Denise), Camille, and Joan. Also, grandchildren, David (Tracy), Kevin, Jillian, Colleen, and Collin and great-grandchild Ashley. Mary considered herself blessed with such a loving family and was very proud of their accomplishments. Mary was a gifted singer and sang on the Western Hour on CJOB as a teenager. Later in life, she took a Practical Nursing course and worked as a Home Care and Nurse's Aide. She worked at the Conquist Nursing Home, until her retirement. She was a beautiful person both physically and spiritually. Her family's well-being was always foremost in her mind. She was greatly loved by her husband and children and all were fortunate to know her. Many thanks to her physician, Dr. McTaggart and the staff of Victoria Hospital who tried valiantly to save her life.
