MARY ELLEN SMART Peacefully at the Treherne Hospital on Saturday, June 7, 2008, Mrs. Mary Smart of Rathwell, Manitoba passed away at the age of 96 years. She leaves to mourn her passing one son Rick (Barb) Smart of Weyburn, SK; three grandchildren, Melissa, Samantha and Kristin; three sisters, Ruth Smart, Florence Wilson and Doris Stewart; one sister-in-law Dorothy Smart; and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents David and Agnes (Gerver) Smart; five sisters, Rachel, Grace, Evelyn, Hilda and Alva Jean; and by four brothers, Bob, Dave, Stanley and Jack. Funeral Services will be held in the Calvin United Church in Rathwell, Manitoba on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Haupt officiating. Interment to follow in the Woodlands Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Treherne Palliative Care Unit.
