BRIAN RICHARD HILL Passed away peacefully in Ottawa, on Thursday, June 5 after a lengthy illness, which he faced with courage, dignity and humour. He will be dearly missed by his wife Janet and his beloved daughters, Johanna, Emily and Lauren; his brother Murray and his wife Dianne Poole; sister Camille, and numerous nieces and nephews. Brian's career included positions in several government departments at both the provincial and federal levels. He held senior positions in the private sector and served on a Special Senate Committee. He will be remembered with fondness by those who knew him for his loyal and supportive nature and his ability to relate to people from all walks of life. Please join with family and friends to share your memories of Brian at a memorial celebration at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd. Orleans, Ontario, on Monday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Regional Cancer Center or the Elizabeth Bruyere Health Center would be appreciated. I was deeply saddened to learn of Brian's passing. I worked closely with Brian during his "executive exchange" at Great-West Life.
