EDWARD CURRIE MCCORMICK Peacefully, on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital, Edward McCormick, passed away at the age of 87 years. Ed was predeceased by his parents Avery and Haldora and his brother Donald. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Vivian, of 59 years, daughter Susan McCormick, and son Chris McCormick, brother Kenneth McCormick, sisters Ruth (Robert) Henderson, Marion (Marnie) McCreedy and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed served in the army, World War II, Continental Europe, United Kingdom. He was employed with the Winnipeg Transit for 35 years. He loved boat building; having made several. He loved picking berries, but Blueberries were his favourite at Hillside Beach. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A gathering of family and friends will be held following the service at Glen Lawn Reception Centre. A special thank you to the neighbours for their loving care and support over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ed to the charity of one's choice.
