Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL CHRISTINE DUNNING May 5, 1926 - June 9, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Dunning at the age of 82. Christine will be sadly missed by her two brothers Harry Dunning of Edmonton (her fishing and camping companion); Jack Kelly (Gail) of Selkirk; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many lifelong friends. Christine was predeceased by her father, Phillip Dunning (1957), her mother Karolina (1975); her three brothers, Lloyd Gunnlaugson, Andy Johannesson, Clarence Johannesson; and her faithful and loyal companion, Ginger. Christine was born and raised in Winnipeg and became a teacher in 1954 with the Winnipeg School Division teaching Grades one to four, as well as Junior High Math and Phys-Ed until her retirement from John M. King School in 1986. She enjoyed many family gatherings over the years with the Gunnlaugsons, Johannessons and Kellys. Christine had a great passion for all sports, but especially loved golfing and curling. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made by making a donation in Christine's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, an organization that was very near and dear to Christine's heart.
