Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST REGINALD HARCUS 1936 - 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of their father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Ernie passed away suddenly on June 9, 2008 at his home in Winnipeg. He will be deeply missed by his son Randy; daughters Sandi Harcus and Tracy (Stan) Frost; his extended family, sons Reggie, Michael, Bradley, Corey and Tim Fitzgerald; daughters Patsy (John) Paslawski and Kim (Jobb) Mason and his 23 grandchildren. He will especially be missed by his grandsons Steven, Mathew and Wesley O'Hara that he resided with in Winnipeg and Tim Frost and granddaughter Charity (Anthony) Smith, and great-granddaughter Layla Lee Smith of Lockport; brothers Tommy and Oswall; his five sisters Jacqueline Knihinicki, Geraldine Stockes, Linda Harcus, Loura (Bob) Herda and Iris (John) Harper and his many nieces, nephews and friends. Ernie was predeceased by his mother Margaret and father John; brothers Willie, Wesley and George and sister Holly. Ernie will be remembered by his grandchildren and many friends as Papa Ernie , the father and grandpa with a big heart and always kind words and helping hands. Ernie was born in Selkirk, Manitoba and spent most of his life in Manitoba. He moved to Alberta in 1978 and returned to his home Manitoba in 2003 where he retired and lived in Winnipeg with daughter Sandi and grandsons. The family would like to thank the many friends for their kind words and sympathy, the Winnipeg Police Service and EMS for their quick response. The family would like to celebrate Ernie's life on Friday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Andrew's on the Red Anglican Church with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
