ANGELLA LIEVRE January 16, 1938 - May 21, 2008 After a valiant fight with illness, Angie quietly left us while sleeping May 21 at the care home in Edmonton. She was a wonderful Mother and to cherish her memory are eldest daughter, Monica (John) Griffiths, grandchildren Nicole, David (Marla), their daughter Xandria and a baby on the way. Daughter, Lisa (Ahmad) Shekllawon. Son, Larry (Trish), grandchildren James and William. Also mourning her loss is former spouse Raymond Lievre (Josette Brauchli). Angie was predeceased by her father Casey Matuszewski (Matheson) and mother Bernice (Michalski). Also surviving is her brother Ed (Nikki) Matheson, and sister Dell (Ben) Haegeman and their families, stepmother Margaret (Penno/Finnigan) and her children, Gail, Robert and Donald. As per Angie's Letter of Last Wishes, no traditional funeral service was held. A private celebration of life will be held in Winnipeg on Friday, June 13 and in Edmonton on June 21 to enjoy a great meal and she will join us in spirit. And at her request listen to the Wynton Marsalis album The Majesty of the Blues ; there is a long sad New Orleans style funeral piece followed by the jubilation and celebration (that a sister/mother has left mortal suffering behind and gone to a better place).
