HELEN MARIE JOHNSON (nee RINDALL) Suddenly, on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Grace Hospital, Helen passed away at the age of 79 years. Remaining to forever cherish Helen's memory are her children Desiree (Rheal) and David (Caroline); grandchildren, Chantel, Michelle, Michael, and Jimmy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Ernest; father Helmer; mother Maria Lovisa; brothers Ernie and Martin; and sister Signe. Mom grew up on a farm in Chatfield, MB. She moved to Winnipeg in her teens to complete her schooling while living with her sister Signe. She worked for the St. James School Division for many years, first as a secretary at Golden Gate Junior High and later at the school board offices. Mom and Dad were happily married for 53 years. They taught us by example what a loving and lasting marriage was and inspired us to try to live our lives the same way, with the same values. Mom and Dad are together again. In compliance with Mom's wishes no formal funeral service will be held and private family service will take place. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those who wish, donations in Mom's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
