Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD ZLOTY January 9, 1930 June 13, 2008 On Friday, June 13, 2008, Ed passed away at Concordia Hospital. Ed was predeceased by his parents, sister Pauline, niece Lucy, wife Shirley, and his special friend Betty. Ed is survived by his sons, Wayne and Ricki and brother Peter. Ed was a proud Mason and was a member of The Beaver Ionic Lodge No. 25, The Khartum Shrine, the Scottish Rite, The International Peace Garden Lodge of Free Masons and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He cherished the friendships formed through these associations. Ed was a very self sufficient and independent man. He was self employed in a career in sales and his loyal customers became like family to Ed. Shortly after entering Concordia Hospital, Ed came to the realization that he would not be able to work again. Knowing that he could no longer make his sales calls and visit his special customers and have coffee with them, he just seemed to lose the will to live and quietly passed away. I know Ed would like to thank all of the people who cared for him and carried out his wishes, he was well served by them all. Ed was a good guy and all who knew him will miss him. According to Ed's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be an interment at the Brookside Cemetery on Friday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Ed's life will follow at the Greenwood Inn, 1715 Wellington Ave. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Shrine Transportation Fund.
