Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICE ARMAND MARTIN On June 12, 2008, after a brief illness, Patrice (Pat) Armand Martin passed away in his sleep at St. Boniface Hospital. He was 85 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Hélène (née Ferland) of 55 years and four of their sons, Armand of St. Boniface, Robert (Penny) of Edmonton, Pierre (Shannon) of St. Boniface and Patrick (Cathy) of Winnipeg, as well as seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister Connie of Salmon Arms, BC. Another son, Paul, predeceased his father in 1986. Pat was employed as an Industrial Services Clerk at the CNR from 1941 to 1978. He also held several part-time jobs such as sharpening tools, painting houses and handy-man at the Convent of the Sisters of the Precious Blood in St. Boniface. He was elected as Trustee for the former Norwood School Division in 1980 and also held that position for 15 years. Pat loved travelling and crisscrossed North America with his family in their motor home. He also enjoyed family gatherings and was a generous host. Friends and relatives will remember Pat as a good provider for his family, a responsible citizen and a most resourceful person. After cremation, Pat's remains were interred at the St. Boniface Cemetery on June 17.
