Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNETTE CORMIER July 16, 1917 - June 16, 2008 On Monday, shortly after midnight, June 16, 2008, Annette Cormier (Née Dumont), formerly of La Salle, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at Centre Taché. Annette was predeceased in 1987 by her husband of 46 years, Germain. Annette will be sadly missed by her 11 children, Irene Olivier (Louis), Cécile, Paulette (Lorne) Schram, Philippe (Gracia), Raymond (Rae), Jean (Beverley), Jacqueline (Patrick, deceased) McGloin, Gilles, Georges (Judy), Anita, Gisele (Denis) Arseneault; as well as grandchildren, Michael Olivier, Sheldon Olivier (Michelle), Rilla (Craig) Roessel, Raechelle (Soufiane) Tafgui, Daniel (Jaylin) Cormier, Brigitte (Tom) Hildebrand, Richard Berard (Roxzanna), Ron Berard, Kurt (Andrea) Cormier, Darren (Angela) Cormier, Jared Cormier (Marni), Gail (Jérémie) Gosselin, Shawn Cormier (Ashley), Aedan McGloin (Corrine), Paul McGloin (Lindsey), Renée McGloin (Peter), Carlee Cormier (Dan), Chad Cormier, Michelle Arseneault. Mom was predeceased by brothers, Antonio, Emile and sisters, Antoinette, Alice, Marguerite, Irène, Claire; as well as sons-in-law, Albert Olivier and Patrick McGloin, but will be remembered by sisters, Yvonne Dumont, Laurette (Denis) Durand, Thérèse Brodeur and sisters-in-law, Aurore Cormier, Alice Cormier, Gabrielle Dixon; and brother-in-law, Léo Michon, great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Mom was raised in St. Boniface and married Germain in 1941. Together they raised 11 children in the farming community, south of La Salle, where Germain had farmed all his life. Mom was a loving, caring and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. Family was all-important to her. In 2002, she moved to a seniors home in St. Boniface where she enjoyed being close to her roots, later moving to Centre Taché where she was able to join her daughter Cécile. Mom was a very special person and we consider ourselves fortunate that she shared her life with us. We will miss her. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the La Salle Roman Catholic Church in La Salle, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Les Amis de Taché Friends Inc. at 185 rue Despins, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2B3.
