Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELEANOR FLORENCE STASTOOK (nee HARRAP) Eleanor passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at the age of 75. Eli will be missed by her children: sons Ken and wife Debbie, Gordon and wife Kathy, and daughter Karen and husband Dave; grandchildren Shelby, Reid, Bradley, Devon, Derrick and Dayna. She also leaves behind her brother Arthur Harrap and sister Betty Waterman, and all her friends she had made over the years. Eli was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on November 13, 1932. She spent her years growing up on the family farm in Woodlands, MB. Eleanor met and married her now late husband Steven Stastook on August 9, 1952. They shared many happy years in Manitoba and going to the lake. They travelled extensively for work and for pleasure, one of the highlights being their time in Saudi Arabia. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 20, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7. It was with great sadness that I just learned of your mom's passing three years ago. Ellie and Steve were dear friends of ours in Saudi Arabia. They were the best, and your mom was the kindest, most gentle of ladies.
