BEN WILKINS On June 15, at the age of 87, Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep, after celebrating a wonderful day with his family. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Audrey in 1999. He will be sadly missed by his children: Wendy Geddes (Jim) and Judy Wilkins (Richard Hershberg); his grandchildren: Corrie Purvis (Sean), Tara Geddes (Ken Dolinsky), Jed Hershberg, and Matthew Hershberg; and great- grandsons: Benjamin Purvis and Tate Dolinsky. Both Ben and Tate brought so much joy and laughter into Jo-Jo's last few years. Uncle Benny was a special uncle to his many nieces and nephews and will be fondly remembered by his friends, including his dear friend Adeline Sopiwnyk. Ben was a Second World War Air Force Veteran and upon returning home, worked as a furrier. He had a natural talent and could build or repair anything. He took great pride in each project and his work ethic was simple...any job worth doing was worth doing well. Dad's favourite project was his family and there was nothing he would not have done for us. He was always there to help in all ways, big or small. He was simply a great guy and we are all better for having known him. Cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m. in Country Villas Clubhouse, 101 Country Club Circle (off Bird's Hill Road).
