RAYMOND GEORGE DOWSE January 12, 1927 June 17, 2008 Peacefully, Raymond George Dowse, son of George and Ivy Dowse, passed away on June 17, 2008 at the age of 81 years at Victoria General Hospital. Raymond shared a zest for life with his family and friends. Summers at West Hawk Lake and sport activities were a true passion. Raymond was an avid athlete who enjoyed curling, cycling, skiing, speed skating and running. He participated in many Manitoba Marathons even as a senior. Raymond had a kind heart and a gentle spirit, and always had a positive outlook on life along with a marvelous sense of humor. Raymond leaves behind his wife Catherine; daughters Darlene and Cindy (David Kraemer); daughter-in-law Terry; grandchildren Harley, Alexander, Joseph and Casswinny' Ashwell, Raymond (Cara) and Wesley (Nancy) Dowse; great grandchildren Leah, Joshua and Max; and sisters June Woodward (Jack) and Shirley Early. Bubba, we thank you for all your love, care and guidance. We know that you are now with your son George, grandson little George, brother-in-law Gary, along with other family members and friends, sharing jokes, laughter and love. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society.
