Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Ethel, brother Gordon, sister Doreen and twin, Marjorie. Bob was born August 9, 1923. He attended Glenlawn Collegiate before working for the C.N.R. In 1943, he enlisted as a gunner in the Horse Artillery of the 1st Division Canadian Army. He fought on the front lines in Italy, France and Holland. He returned in 1946 to the C.N.R. Bob worked at the Motor Vehicle Branch from 1963 until retirement in 1984. Bob and Char travelled frequently but loved Phoenix. His travels stopped with the decline of his health but Bob was still able to go to his cottage. He was a quiet man who enjoyed his family; especially his much loved grandsons, his little dog and his rum. They recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary at the Regent Casino where he loved to gamble though he rarely won. His brave actions through his illnesses, taught us faith, love and courage. He went out a soldier. He will be so missed. Many thanks go to the staff at the 3rd floor S. at Grace Hospital for their wonderful, loving care.
