ARTHUR PAQUETTE June 5, 1935 - June 16, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Arthur Paquette on June 16, 2008 at the St.-Pierre-Jolys Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Lise (Lucien) Gosselin, Anna (Gilles) Maynard, Michel (Jen Chartrand) Paquette, his nine grandchildren, Janine, Micheline, Charmaine, André, Rossel, Natalie, Cody, Alexander, Elizabeth and one great-grandchild Dominic. He will also be missed by his brothers Albert (Cécile), Pierre (Simone), Martial (Hélène), Reynald (Renae), Gilles (Gisèle) and sisters Lorraine (Terry), Estelle, Diana (Julien), sisters-in-law Marilyn and Noëlla, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Frances (1975) and his grandson Réal (1980), his parents Roméo Paquette and Rosilia Lafantaisie and stepfather Delphis Lafantaisie, his brothers Paul and Laurent and his sisters Thérèse, Rita and Irène and brothers-in-law Richmond and Jean. Dad was born and raised in St-Malo, Manitoba. He worked in the construction industry which included the Trans Canada Pipeline for many years. He loved being outdoors around his yard, on his tractors and driving his quad. Dad was an avid hunter and always enjoyed hunting with his buddies and sons-in-law. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour who loved to entertain his family and friends. You will be greatly missed. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Marcel Chaput at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, Manitoba on Monday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. Prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment of Arthur's cremated remains will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery following the mass. The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at the DeSalaberry and District Health Centre for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 39 Woodview Bay, Winnipeg, MB R3R 3C9.
