FLORENCE (FAY) GROSSMUELLER Fay passed away peacefully on June 19, 2008 with her family at her side. She leaves to mourn her husband of 49 years Vern; her sons, Ron and Chris (Brenda) and daughter Karen (Todd), and grandsons, Derek, Aaron and Ryan. She is also survived by her sister Iris, and brother Andrew (Lynn), and all of her neighbours and friends she had made over the years. Fay was born on June 29, 1940 in Neepawa, Manitoba. She met and married Vern on March 14, 1959. Together they made their home in Winnipeg and raised their three children. Fay was an avid camper and loved to go fishing with the kids. With her children grown, she immersed herself into her grandsons' lives and became the official photographer of the family. Fay was always willing to try anything once, from riding a horse to riding a quad, and tubing behind the boat. She loved her flowers, her scrapbooking and genealogy projects and was very proud of her accomplishments with her computer. Special thanks to Dr. Pilat and all the nurses at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fay's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, Room ON1160 Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with interment to follow.
