LAURA ANDREWS Peacefully, on Friday, June 20, 2008 Laura Andrews passed away at the age of 96 at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Laura was born on April 21, 1912 and lived her entire life in Middlechurch. Laura was predeceased; by her husband Herbert; sister Bertha; brothers, Lawrence, Wilfred and Jules. Left to cherish mom's memory are daughter Audrey (Jack) Stanley, son Gerald (Nadine); granddaughter Laurel (Len) Pugh; grandson Scott (and his special friend Della); and great-grandchildren, Kory and Derrick Pugh. Laura is also survived by sisters, Isabelle and Irene; sisters-in-law Mary, Frankie and Carey and brother-in-law Reg. Family and friends will remember her Boxing Day celebrations and great fudge . Laura taught at West St. Paul School from 1934 to 1940 when she took time to raise her family. She returned to teach in West St. Paul from 1950 to 1972. Her special interests were travelling, knitting, crocheting, family and church. Special thanks to the staff of Middlechurch Home for the wonderful care she received on N2. Their compassionate care will not be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, 3597 Main Street, with Monsignor Louis McClosky celebrating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association P.O.
