Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HEDLEY November 15, 1914 - June 20, 2008 Peacefully in his sleep at Irene Baron Eden Centre at the age of 93, John left us to meet his maker. Predeceased by his loving wife Catherine (1993); daughter Jacqueline (2002); he leaves to mourn his passing his only son John Ricard (Barbara); grandsons, Andrew, Jason (Janette), Michael (friend Natasha); grandaughter Stacey (John); son-in-law Steven Pejakovic; sister Madge Isaak (Harry), special friend Helen and extended families. Residing in Winnipeg his entire life, John served in the Canadian Army, Canadian Artillery Training Centre, 38th Brigade Artillery from 1940 to November 1943 and trained Small Arms till July 1945. John was manager in various Safeway stores till his retirement in 1960. Special thanks are extended to all who touched and were touched by him in his life, neighbors, elders and staff of Ivy Trails, who always kept one eye open on him. Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue at 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street) at 2:00 p.m. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
