ABRAHAM (ABE) FRANK G. DYCK On Thursday, June 19, 2008, Abe, beloved husband of Irene of Winnipeg passed away at his residence at the age of 74 years. He passed away doing what he enjoyed; listening to the radio outside in his shed. Remaining to forever cherish Abe's memory are his wife of 45 years of marriage Irene; daughter Wendy; son Michael; grandson Daniel; brother-in-law Richard (Lorraine) Stasyszyn; sister-in-law Tammy (Keith) Bagnall; nieces Shannon (Devin) Scramstad and April (Rolly) Saindon; as well as nephew Darren Stasyszyn and their children. He was predeceased by his parents, Katerina and Henry Dyck. Born March 7, 1934, in Morden, MB Abe was the only child of Henry and Katerina Dyck and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 12. He worked in the lithographic field most of his life and was willing to share his knowledge. After retirement, he spent several years selling Mac Tools. His hobby was photography. Abe also enjoyed reading the paper and doing puzzles as well as ten pin bowling. He spent many a Sunday with his friend Rudy, at the duck pond and then for coffee at Tim Hortons. Abe enjoyed camping and travelling to BC and Alberta to enjoy the mountains and scenery and visiting many friends in BC. We had started making plans to travel west this summer, but he is travelling along another route without me. Abe was always willing to help if he could, whether it was pumping up bicycle tires or fixing old bikes and wagons. He kept many things as they may have come in handy. Failing health hindered him from doing some of these things. Abe always liked to fix things himself and did not like to rely on other people to do things for him. Abe's funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. A private interment will be held in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Abe's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to the charity of one's choice. From his loving wife I have lost my partner, my friend, my helping hand. You always said to me I am here for you you were. Till the morning of the day when you had to end your journey here with me and be the star above. I will cherish the many memories that we have had together. Love, I.
