JEAN DOROTHY MOSS (nee ROSE) Peacefully, after complications with pneumonia, on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Born July 12, 1916 in Markinch, Saskatchewan, Jean graduated from the University of Saskatchewan (B.Sc.) in 1936. Jean had a full and accomplished life, and will be fondly remembered for her wonderful wit, her generosity, her warm hospitality, and her feisty, determined spirit. Predeceased by her husband Bill in 2005, Jean's memory will be cherished by her family Kelly and Dee Moss, Terry and Susan Moss, Cathy and Charlie Booth; grandchildren Greg and Alison Carlson, Grant and Joan Carlson, Darren and Jennifer Carlson, Jamie Moss, Brian Moss and Kelly Moss; and great-grandchildren Amy, Mark, Mackenzie, Sydney and Owen. As well as a lifetime of community work and devotion to her family and friends, Jean's passions included a good game of bridge, curling, sailing, teaching, and bringing people together for fun times, at home, and at the Clearwater Bay family cottage, for 60 years. At nearly 92 she could out walk the best of us. Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Kelly and Dee for their dedicated care of Mom, and to those special friends whose love and support made such a difference to her throughout her life, and in her final days. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation for the exceptional kindness and professional care extended to Mom by the staff of Victoria General Hospital. A celebration of Jean's life for family and friends will take place on Friday, June 27, 2008 from noon to 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Country Club.
