LILLIAN GZEBB (nee BONDIRRENKO) On Wednesday, June 18, 2008, Lillian passed away peacefully at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg at the age of 92 years. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her sister Zena, son Ted, daughters-in-law Barbara and Virginia, grandchildren Jennifer, Danielle, Kathryn and Victoria, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Theodore (Ted) Alexander Gzebb, son Gary and sisters Annette, Dinah and Rae. Born in Winnipeg on February 15, 1916, Lillian married Ted on August 31, 1935. They lived in Winnipeg until 1957, moving to Montreal where she was involved in many activities. She was a volunteer in the local library and hospital, a bridge player and later on discovered the game of golf. She enjoyed the game and managed to score a hole in one. In 1978, missing family and friends in Winnipeg, they moved back there where they joined the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club to continue their golfing. To escape Winnipeg's snow and cold they wintered in Phoenix, Arizona for many years until the trip became too much. After that they stayed at their home in Winnipeg, spending time with family and friends. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of N1 and B1 of the Middlechurch Home for their care and support over the past several years. Special thanks go to Kim and Fern of the Recreation Department who took Lillian on outings and activities. Their kind attention made Lillian's stay there an enjoyable and happy time. Cremation has taken place. Interment and memorial service celebrating her life has taken place for the family as per her wishes.
