Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYLE (BUTCH) PHILLIPS Lyle Butch Phillips, 63, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at his home on June 22, 2008 after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Raised in Myrtle, Manitoba by parents Olive and George Phillips, Lyle was a devoted husband and father, as well as a successful and admired businessman, a skilled handyman, and a noted contributor of time and energy to many charitable organizations. He enjoyed time with family and friends. Survived by his wife, Candice, daughter Dorian, son Gavin (Marsha), mother Olive, and sister Gail (Keith), nieces Shannon (Nathan), Pam (Kevin), nephew Garth (Laurel) and great-nieces and nephews. Lyle's family would like to thank all those who gave their time and compassion during his illness. If desired, to honour Lyle's memory, donations could be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba (105-500 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3X1), or the MS Society, Brant County Chapter (10 Bell Lane, Brantford, ON N3T 5L5). Following Lyle's wishes, there will be no formal service. Family and friends are invited to stop by to share stories, tears and laughter at 162 Westchester Dr. on Friday, June 27, between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. What we have once enjoyed we can never lose.
